Injuries Sustained in Visalia Auto Accident near Ash Street and 1st Avenue
VISALIA, CA (March 1, 2022) – Sunday afternoon, authorities arrested Jose Luis Romero following multiple hit-and-run crashes near Ash Street.
According to the Visalia Police Department, the incident started at around 3:41 p.m. Moreover, it occurred near Houston Avenue and Mooney Boulevard when 41-year-old Jose Luis Romero fled the scene after assaulting a man. Afterward, responders rushed the victim to a hospital with critical injuries.
Reports revealed that Romero collided with another vehicle near Mooney Boulevard and Ferguson Avenue just minutes after the assault. Then, Jose Luis Romero fled the scene of the crash and caused two more incidents that involved injured parties.
Eventually, Romero fled the scene on foot and attempted to carjack a vehicle but failed.
Moreover, officers managed to arrest Romero near Ash Street and 1st Avenue.
Furthermore, officials booked Romero into the Tulare County Jail for attempted murder, carjacking, attempted carjackings, and multiple felony hit-and-run traffic collisions.
