1 Hurt in Le Grand Hit-and-Run Accident on Washington Avenue

LE GRAND, CA (January 16, 2024) – Wednesday, Jose Jesus Vera suffered injuries in a disastrous motorcycle crash on Washington Avenue.

The incident happened when two motorcyclists struck the victim while he blew leaves at his brother’s house on Washington Avenue.

“There is no reason for them to be going that fast,” said Isabel Vera, the sister of the victim. “You know it’s a quiet neighborhood as it should be, but obviously, for them, they’re careless.

A surveillance video revealed that two motorcycles raced at a very fast speed on Washington Avenue.

The family of Vera added that the motorcycle that struck him was driving on the wrong side of the road.

Reports said that after hitting the victim, the motorcyclist also fell off their bike. However, the driver instantly got back on and fled.

“Worst of all, he just left me there, and he left, ” said the victim.

As a result, Vera sustained a fractured eye socket, a broken cheek, a dislocated jaw, and a broken rib.

“This should not have happened, and I can’t imagine if it would have been my children, my brother’s children, or anybody’s children,” said Isabel Vera.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
