49-Year-Old Man Fatally Struck by Vehicle near South Euclid Street
ANAHEIM, CA (October 1, 2018) – A man was killed Monday evening following a pedestrian crash near South Euclid Street. The deceased victim was later identified as 49-year-old Jose Huerta. His city of residence was not immediately released.
According to officials with the Anaheim Police Department, the incident took place at about 7:33 PM on West Lincoln Avenue. The pedestrian was crossing outside of a crosswalk when he was struck by a vehicle.
Huerta suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders. Meanwhile, the woman driving the vehicle remained on site and cooperated with investigators. No other injuries were reported by the authorities.
Alcohol and drugs were ruled out as possible contributing factors in the fatal crash, which remains under investigation. Additional information will be released to the public, once it becomes available.
