Jose Erivas Hospitalized after Crash on Highway 17 [Moses Lake, WA]

1 Injured in Moses Lake Car Accident on Highway 17

 
MOSES LAKE, WA (July 26, 2020) – Wednesday night, Jose Erivas sustained injuries in a crash on Highway 17.
 
According to reports, a pickup and semi crashed on Highway 17, around 8 miles south of Moses Lake.
 
The Washington State Patrol revealed that 51-year-old Jose Chama Erivas of Othello drove a 1993 Nissan pickup south around 8:49 p.m. However, Erivas drove across the center line and the northbound semi failed to avoid the crash. As a result, the pickup hit the side of the semi until it stopped in a ditch on the north side of the road.
 
Responders initially transported Jose Erivas to the hospital in Moses Lake. Afterward, they airlifted him to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane.
 
According to reports, just minutes before the crash, they received a report of a pickup driving recklessly.
 
The WSP continues to investigate and the crash blocked the high way for more than five hours. The authorities administered an alternate route onto Road 6.
