Passenger Injured in Odessa Fatal Collision
Odessa, TX (August 20, 2023) – On Friday, 83-year-old Jose Delao of Odessa was killed while his passenger was injured in a West 42nd Street collision.
The authorities responded to the crash scene in the 700 block area near Golder Avenue.
Officers said a Black 2019 Nissan Altima was eastbound on 42nd Street and a Green 2004 Nissan Altima was northbound on Golder Avenue.
The Black Nissan driver ran a red light and struck the Green Nissan.
The driver of the Green Nissan, Jose Delao, was transported to MCH where he died. His passenger was also transported with serious bodily injury.
Officers are still investigating the traffic accident.
