Jose Castellanos Gomez Killed in Fresno Semi Truck Accident on Highway 180 and Blythe Avenue

 
FRESNO, CA (January 12, 2021) – On Monday, Jose Castellanos Gomez, 19, died in a head-on crash on Highway 180.
 
According to CHP spokesman Mike Salas, the incident happened at about 1:00 p.m. near Blythe avenue.
 
A black Jetta driver traveled west on Highway 180. Then, as it passed Blythe Avenue, the driver veered into the eastbound lane.
 
As a result, it crashed head-on with an eastbound big rig.
 
The crash left the black Jetta’s driver, Jose, with fatal injuries.
 
Moreover, Salas added that investigators do not believe that alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
 
Also, the incident stalled the Highway 180 traffic during the investigation.
 
Due to the limited information, the authorities continue to investigate Highway 180 accident. Indeed, once additional details becomes available, the public will be duly informed.
