Jose Luis Cardenas Alvarado Dead, Several Injured in Bakersfield Big Rig Accident on Highway 184

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (March 29, 2021) – Sunday night, Jose Cardenas Alvarado, 78, died in a big rig crash on Weedpatch Highway and Wilson Road.
 
The California Highway Patrol revealed that a 78-year-old Arvin man drove a pickup truck. Then, he stopped in the area of Weedpatch Highway and Wilson Road.
 
As the driver attempts to turn, he pulled in front of the big rig, inciting the collision.
 
Then, the impact sent the semi truck into an oncoming SUV.
 
As a result, the pickup driver was thrown from his vehicle. Jose Alvarado died at the scene.
 
On the other hand, a 29-year-old woman and a 5-year-old boy in the SUV sustained major injuries. At this time, the authorities haven’t disclosed their condition.
 
The deadly truck crash remains under active investigation.
