Jose Arturo Cisneros Killed in DUI Crash on 51st Avenue [Phoenix, AZ]

Phoenix, AZ (September 3, 2023) On Sunday morning, 25-year-old Jose Arturo Cisneros suffered fatal injuries in a DUI crash on 51st Avenue.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, the deadly hit-and-run crash happened around 2:30 a.m. in the area of 51st Avenue and Thomas Road.

Reports say that Cisneros was found at the scene of the crash with serious injuries. Phoenix Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and attempted to save Cisneros, unfortunately, the victim succumbed to the injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials say that Cisneros was crossing 51st Avenue, when a vehicle driven by Lucila Garcia hit him. Garcia then fled the scene after the collision.

Authorities were able to locate Garcia later-on, officials say that Garcia was showing signs of impairment. Police arrested Lucila Lozano Garcia on charges of driving under the influence and leaving the scene of a fatal collision.
