Jose Alfredo Encizo Arrested in Devastating Traffic Crash on Bardsley Avenue [Tulare, CA]

2 Killed in a Tulare Auto Accident on Bardsley Avenue and O Street

TULARE, CA (June 19, 2024) – Saturday morning, Jose Alfredo Encizo was arrested in a devastating traffic crash on Bardsley Avenue.

The incident happened at about 4:30 a.m. at the intersection of Bardsley Ave and O Street.

When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered two vehicles involved in the crash: a 2005 Nissan Sentra and a 2015 Hyundai Sonata. The Nissan was found within the drive-thru of a Burger King, facing northbound towards Bardsley Avenue, while the Hyundai was located in the northbound lanes of O Street, south of Bardsley Avenue.

Inside the Nissan, officers located a 35-year-old man in the driver’s seat who was deceased. The 43-year-old passenger of the Nissan was quickly transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Police determined that the Hyundai had been reported stolen out of Visalia. Three males were found near the Hyundai: a 17-year-old juvenile from Goshen, and two 18-year-olds, Encizo of Tulare and Emanuel Montoya of Goshen. The juvenile was identified as the driver and was arrested on suspicion of possession of a stolen vehicle while driving intoxicated. Encizo was arrested on a charge of possession of a stolen vehicle, and Montoya, who required additional medical treatment, will face charges of possession of a stolen vehicle.
