Woman Killed in Houston Auto Accident on North Freeway

 
HOUSTON, TX (February 14, 2023) – Sunday night, authorities arrested Jorge Velasquez Torres after a crash on North Freeway.
 
The incident happened as Jorge Velasquez Torres and his female friend came from a bar. Then, they headed home in a blue Dodge Challenger.
 
Jorge Velasquez Torres revealed that he drove at posted speed north in the 3000 block of North Freeway at about 9:40 p.m.
 
Then, his friend became upset with him and tried to exit the moving car.
 
After several attempts, the woman got out of the Challenger and landed on the main lanes of the freeway.
 
When paramedics arrived, they declared her dead at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, officers arrested Velasquez Torres after being determined to be intoxicated, and was subsequently charged for his role in the crash.
 
At this time, the authorities haven’t disclosed the identity of the 25-year-old victim due to pending family notification. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
