Driver Dies in Sagecrest Drive Collision
Riverside, CA (June 24, 2022) – On Wednesday, at 8:40 p.m., Jorge Paniagua, 25, of Hemet, died in a vehicle crash on North State Street.
The fatal crash happened at Sagecrest Drive near the entrance to the campus of Mt. San Jacinto College.
Officers say Paniagua was driving a southbound Infiniti sedan at a high rate of speed when he encountered a northbound Honda Civic making a turn west onto Sagecrest Place.
Unfortunately, the two vehicles crashed, then the Infiniti collided with a telephone pole.
The authorities responded to the crash scene and pronounced Jorge Paniagua dead while the medical rescuers took the passenger to a hospital.
Luckily, the Honda driver did not sustain injuries from the accident.
