61-Year-Old Man and 6-Year-Old Boy Struck and Killed by Vehicle near Benton Street

 
GARDEN GROVE, CA (October 12, 2019) – Authorities identified 61-year-old Jorge Molina as the man struck and killed by a vehicle on Garden Grove Boulevard, Saturday evening.
 
According to the Garden Grove Police Department, the incident happened at about 8:50 PM. Due to unknown reasons, a pickup truck hit Molina and a 6-year-old boy near the intersection of Garden Grove Boulevard and Benton Street.
 
Emergency responders pronounced Molina and the 6-year-old boy dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver of the pickup truck remained and cooperated with investigators.
 
Authorities ruled out drugs and alcohol as factors in the fatal collision. Investigators will release additional information once it becomes available.
