2 Hospitalized after San Bernardino Motorcycle Collision on El Reposo Circle
SAN BERNARDINO, CA (October 18, 2019) – Two people suffered injuries in a car and motorcycle collision on El Reposo Circle.
The incident on October 14 on Twentynine Palms Highway and El Reposo Circle left one motorcyclist with injuries. Authorities ruled out alcohol or drugs as a factor in the crash.
About 4:55 p.m., 64-year-old Aram Barnakian of Joshua Tree drove a silver Nissan Sentra north on El Reposo Circle. Barnakian then stopped at the intersection with Twentynine Palms Highway. When he crossed the highway, 25-year-old Jorge Gonzalez, from National City, approached on an eastbound red Honda CBR motorcycle on Twentynine Palms Highway.
Barnakian and Gonzales both tried to avoid the crash, CHP Officer Casey Simmons stated. However, the car’s front hit the motorcycle’s side. The collision ejected Gonzalez from his motorcycle. Responders took him to Desert Regional Medical Center.
Meanwhile, Aram Barnakian went to Hi-Desert Medical Center for possible minor injuries.
According to Simmons, the motorcycle suffered major damage on the right side. However, the Nissan sustained moderate damage on the front bumper and hood.
Authorities noted that both drivers used safety equipment during the crash.
