SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA (February 13, 2023) – Saturday night, authorities arrested Jorge Eduardo Torres after a deadly bicycle crash on South Higuera Street.

The incident happened at around 9:01 p.m. on South Higuera Street and Prado Road.

According to reports, a vehicle struck a bicyclist for still unknown reasons and then fled the scene after the collision. Then, moments later, a second vehicle struck the bicyclist who was already down in the roadway.

Moreover, responding paramedics pronounced the bicyclist dead at the scene.

Furthermore, officers managed to locate and arrest the hit-and-run driver, 19-year-old Jorge Eduardo Torres for Felony Hit and Run and Vehicular Manslaughter.
