Jonathan Lazo Jr Arrested in Interstate 10 Fatal Collision [Harris County, TX]

Harris County, TX (April 1, 2023) – Shortly past midnight on Friday, the authorities arrested Jonathan Lazo Jr in an Interstate 10 fatal collision killing three men in their 20s.

According to the authorities investigating this case, the group was standing outside of their vehicle on the shoulder of the freeway. Suddenly, Jonathan Lazo Jr swerved to the side of the road and fatally struck all three men.

Officers believe Lazo Jr was intoxicated at the time of the collision.

“I just ask the community to pull together. We’ve got at least two families out here that are going to be changed forever,” said Cpl. Anthony McConnell with HCSO. “And another thing I want the community to do is to stop drinking and driving. It’s a real simple and easy incident to avoid.”

The deputies arrested Lazo Jr with three counts of intoxication manslaughter.
