Injuries Reported in Victorville Multi-Vehicle Crash on Amargosa Road and Palmdale Road
VICTORVILLE, CA (February 1, 2023) – Friday night, authorities arrested Jonathan Hiromoto after a DUI accident on Amargosa Road and Palmdale Road.
The incident happened at around 10:08 p.m. on Amargosa Road and Palmdale Road.
According to reports, 25-year-old Jonathan Hiromoto of Victorville drove a GMC Yukon. Then, he didn’t stop at the westbound red stoplight. As a result, he crashed with a Sheriff’s Sergeant driving an unmarked Sheriff’s Dodge Charger. Hiromoto also crashed into an adult female driving a Chevy Tahoe.
After the crash, responders took the Charger driver to a local hospital for his injuries, and was later released to recover at home.
Meanwhile, the Dodge sustained major damage and was towed from the scene.
Officers noted that the Tahoe driver did not require medical attention. Her vehicle sustained minor damage but remained operational.
“Hiromoto had obvious signs of being under the influence of alcohol and was uncooperative when deputies attempted a field sobriety test,” said sheriff’s officials.
Then, authorities arrested Jonathan Hiromoto and booked him into High Desert Detention Center. He’s currently facing charges of felony driving under the influence of alcohol causing bodily injury.
Furthermore, they urged anyone with information about this investigation to contact the Victorville Police Department at (760) 241-2911 or Sheriff’s Dispatch at (760) 956-5001.

DUI Accidents in California
In today’s day and age, there is hardly an excuse for driving under the influence. There are plenty of alternatives, such as using a rideshare app or making a non-drinking friend a designated driver.
The California Office of Traffic Safety’s Go Safety campaign wants to spread awareness to the public about the meaning of a DUI. DUIs do not only encompass alcohol. In fact, the use of any drug, whether it be marijuana, prescription, over-the-counter, illegal, or illicit, can constitute a DUI. Drugs impair a driver’s ability to drive safely.
In uncertain times such as these, you may want to speak to a professional.
