Two-Vehicle Collision on O’Byrnes Ferry Road Leaves Jonathan Branaugh and Joshua Fernandes Injured
Jamestown, CA (July 18, 2020)– A head-on collision on O’Byrnes Ferry Road injured Jonathan Branaugh and Joshua Fernandes on Thursday.
Moreover, traffic delays followed after a two-vehicle collision occurred on July 16 on O’Byrnes Ferry Road at about 5:45 a.m.
Additionally, morning commuters were affected as one lane of the road was blocked due to the incident.
Upon arrival, the CHP identified the man driving a 2001 Chevrolet Blazer as 35-year-old Jonathan Branaugh from Tracy. Branaugh was traveling northbound near the Sierra Conservation Center at the speed of 50-55 mph.
He then sped up to 65 mph to pass a big rig; however, he did not see an oncoming vehicle. Branaugh and a Ford F-550 pickup, driven by 33-year-old Joshua Fernandes of Angels Camp, collided head-on.
As a result, the Chevrolet overturned.

Consequently, Branaugh suffered major injuries and was airlifted to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto. Meanwhile, a land ambulance took Fernandes to Adventist Health, Sonora.
Furthermore, CHP believed that neither alcohol nor drugs were a factor in the serious collision.
