MODESTO, CA (September 18, 2019) – A man identified as Jonah Johnson was hurt in a hit-and-run accident on Saturday, September 14.
 
According to his friends, 27-year-old Jonah Johnson, of Stockton, was at the Tiki Lounge on McHenry Avenue to celebrate Pride.
 
Modesto Police Department spokeswoman Sharon Bear said that as Johnson crossed the street, a vehicle struck him. The vehicle fled the scene.
 
Fortunately, Johnson had friends around him who called 911 and worked to save his life. His friends said that he is in the ICU. He is expected to survive.
 
Investigators said that they don’t have much information about the suspect. However, they believe the involved vehicle was a mid-2000s, full-size, red truck.
