Jonah Johnson Critically Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash on McHenry Avenue [MODESTO, CA]

27-Year-Old Man in ICU after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver on McHenry Avenue

 
MODESTO, CA (September 14, 2019) – A man was critically injured after he was struck by a hit-and-run driver outside a Modesto bar late Saturday evening.
 
According to reports, a 27-year-old Jonah Johnson of Stockton was at the Tiki Lounge on McHenry Avenue with his friends to celebrate Pride.
 
Around 10:20 p.m., Johnson walked across the street when a vehicle hit him. The force of the crash sent him into the air. The driver did not stop to render aid.
 
His friends who witnessed the crash called 911 and worked to save his life. Paramedics arrived and rushed Johnson to a hospital. He was in the intensive care unit Monday and still in critical condition by Tuesday.
 
Investigators say the vehicle involved was a mid-2000s, full-size, red truck.
