Man Hospitalized in San Diego Pedestrian Accident on Pacific Highway and West Hawthorn Street

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (March 7, 2023) – Wednesday morning, Jon Heemeier sustained injuries in a hit-and-run crash on Pacific Highway and West Hawthorn Street.
 
The incident happened at around 5:54 a.m. between Pacific Highway and West Hawthorn Street.
 
According to reports, a car attempting to make a right turn struck a pedestrian who was crossing the street in a marked crosswalk. Then, the vehicle fled the scene after the collision.
 
Moreover, responders rushed the victim, Jon Heemeier, with multiple fractures, a traumatic head injury, and brain bleed.
 
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
