65-Year-Old Man Killed in Palm Springs Auto Accident on Interstate 20

 
PALM SPRINGS, CA (November 21, 2022) – Saturday afternoon, Johnny Leeallen Triplett died in a traffic crash on Interstate 20.
 
The incident happened at around 4:01 p.m. on westbound Interstate 20, 19 miles southwest of Toyah.
 
According to the Department of Public Safety, a westbound 2016 Kenworth 680 with a trailer failed to stop on time. Then, it rear-ended a 2019 Freightliner Columbia with a trailer that was stopped due to a traffic backup.
 
Moreover, responders confirmed that the Kenworth driver, 65-year-old Johnny Leeallen Triplett, died in the crash.
 
Furthermore, authorities said that Triplett wore a seatbelt at the time of the collision.
 
Meanwhile, the fatal incident remained under investigation.
