Deadly DUI Crash in Austin Under Investigation
Austin, TX (August 28, 2024) – Johnny Joe Reyes, 50, and Antonio Trevino Maldonado, 22, were fatally injured following a N Lamar Boulevard collision.
The deadly crash occurred around 2:26 a.m. in the 6500 block area, south of Brentwood Street.
Officers said the two victims were hit by a suspected drunk driver.
Sadly, Johnny Joe Reyes and Antonio Trevino Maldonado were declared dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the driver, remained at the crash scene and was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
