Motorcyclist Killed in El Monte Hit-and-Run Incident on Peck Road and Lower Azusa Road
EL MONTE, CA (February 22, 2021) – On Saturday night, John Spata died in a motorcycle crash on Peck Road and Lower Azusa Road.
According to El Monte Police Lt. Peter Rasic, the incident happened at around 7:00 p.m. Moreover, it occurred at the intersection of Peck Road and Lower Azusa Road.
Meanwhile, reports revealed that the vehicle involved was a black, 4-door Toyota Tacoma with chrome bumpers. It made a left turn and struck Spata’s motorcycle.
Also, witnesses rushed to help the motorcyclist even before paramedics arrived.
Moments later, responders transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where the man was pronounced dead.
Later on, officers identified the victim as 56-year-old John Spata of Temple City.
Furthermore, authorities ask everyone with information about the hit-and-run vehicle, believed to have sustained front-end damage, to contact police.
Officers released no further details regarding the El Monte hit and run crash as of this moment.
