SUV Crashes into Homeless Encampment on San Vicente Boulevard in Brentwood

 
LOS ANGELES, CA (March 4, 2021) – Early Thursday morning, John Schwartz and 2 others were injured in a crash on West San Vicente Boulevard.
 
The incident occurred at around 12:30 a.m. in the 11500 block of West San Vicente Boulevard. According to reports, a single-vehicle crashed through a homeless encampment, said Nicholas Prange of LAFD.
 
Then, the LAFD crews began searching tents for additional injured victims.
 
After their extensive search, they discovered three people sustained minor injuries and refused hospitalization.
 
Thus, responders used special fire equipment to remove the vehicle from its off-road resting place.
 
At this time, the authorities haven’t disclosed additional details about the incident.

John Schwartz informed CBSLA that he slept when the crash occurred, and was awoken to find an SUV in his tent.
