Motorcycle Involved in Fatal Broadside Accident Near Sunnyslope Drive
TWENTYNINE PALMS, CA (September 18, 2019) – John Rector died in a motorcycle crash on Adobe Road on Wednesday evening.
The victim, fondly called as “Corey”, is a 32-year-old man of Twentynine Palms.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident near Sunnyslope Drive happened at approximately 9:06 PM. Based on a report, the victim’s 2005 Suzuki GSXR motorcycle travled at a high rate of speed when it collided broadside with the rear passenger side of a 2007 PT Cruiser that turned left from northbound Adobe Road.
The paramedics reported that the victim thrown from his motorcycle. As a result, he sustained multiple, major traumatic injuries. Paramedics transported him in an ambulance to Hi-Desert Medical Center. However, doctors pronounced him deceased some time later.
The driver of the Cruiser, Marina Tupua, 65, of Compton, did not sustain injuries in the crash.
No additional information is known to the public at this time. However, an investigation into the accident is ongoing.
