57-Year-Old Littlerock Man Fatally Injured in Motorcycle Crash near Mile Marker 13.92
PALMDALE, CA (April 10, 2018) – On Tuesday afternoon, a fatal motorcycle accident took place on the Angeles Forest Highway, just north of Mile Marker 13.92.
The deceased victim was identified 57-year-old John Randall Prater of Littlerock, according to the coroner’s Assistant Chief Ed Winter.
According to CHP reports, Prater was riding his 2003 Honda Gold Wing motorcycle northbound on the highway around 2:30 PM, when he failed to negotiate a curve. He swerved into oncoming traffic, crashing head-on with a 2014 Toyota Camry.
Prater sustained major injuries and was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver of the Toyota, 25-year-old Juan Carlos Anaya of Palmdale, suffered injuries and was transported to the Antelope Valley Hospital for treatment and evaluation.
