26-Year-Old Passenger Hurt in DUI Crash on SR 12
Burbank, WA (July 29, 2022) On Wednesday, 37-year-old John Parks from Moses Lake was cited for the accident on State Route 12 that injured his passenger.
According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), the DUI crash happened between a 2000 Ford F-150 and a 2011 Dodge Ram near the junction with SR 730.
Reports say that Parks failed to negotiate a curve and crossed the centerline, eventually crashing with the eastbound Dodge.
Officials say that John Parks and his 26-year-old passenger from Richland sustained injuries. Paramedics transported the patients to a hospital.
Meanwhile, the 42-year-old female Dodge driver from Touchet did not suffer injuries.
WSP says that impairment played a factor in the crash and cited Parks for DUI and second-degree negligent driving.
The perverse actions of a reckless driver can increase the likelihood of traffic collisions.
This is a powerful reminder to always pay close attention to drivers around you. Constantly keep a considerable distance from others just in case harm is near.
