1 Killed in Tucson Motorcycle Accident on East 22nd Street
TUCSON, AZ (January 6, 2022) – On Tuesday, John Morales died in a motorcycle crash on East 22nd Street.
According to Tucson police, the incident happened at the 5100 block of East 22nd Street.
Reports revealed that a grey 1999 Saturn S12 struck a red 2020 Honda CBR500 as it turned onto East 22nd Street. Then, the force of the crash pushed the Saturn to hit a white 2011 Nissan Sentra. According to reports, the Nissan was waiting to make a right turn onto 22nd Street.
Moreover, officials confirmed that the motorcyclist, 53-year-old John Morales, died from his injuries in the crash.
Furthermore, officers said that the motorcyclist traveled at a high rate of speed when the incident happened. Also, authorities said that the Saturn failed to yield the right of way while turning.
Meanwhile, no charges or citations have been issued at this time.
