Victim Dies a Month after Long Beach Accident on Cherry Avenue and 15th Street
LONG BEACH, CA (February 21, 2022) – Today, 58-year-old John Kim succumbed to his injuries following the last month’s crash on Cherry Avenue and 15th Street.
The pedestrian accident occurred last January 27th at about 6:20 a.m. Moreover, it happened on Cherry Avenue and 15th Street.
According to reports, a vehicle struck John Kim as he crossed Cherry Avenue against the “Don’t Walk” sign.
Police described the driver of the 2007 Audi as a 32-year-old resident of Long Beach. After the crash, the driver remained at the scene and has been cooperative with the police.
Meanwhile, officers do not believe that distracted driving, impaired driving, and excessive speed played a role in the crash.
