John Godoy Dies in Collision on San Gabriel River Freeway in Norwalk
Norwalk, CA (May 13, 2020)– On Wednesday morning, motorcyclist John Godoy died in a multi-vehicle collision on the 605 Freeway.
CHP responded upon receiving crash reports at around 5:05 a.m. on May 13. Dispatched officers arrived and located three sprawled vehicles and the motorcyclist down on the scene.
Reportedly, a motorcyclist hit a vehicle at high speed, causing the car to overturn. The body of the motorcyclist ended up lodged in the wreckage of the overturned vehicle. Officers pronounced the motorcyclist deceased on the scene. Identity remains undisclosed.
Moreover, officers closed the carpool and Nos. 1, 2, 3, and 4 lanes of the northbound San Gabriel Freeway until further notice. The No. 5 lane of the freeway remained open. Further investigation is ongoing.
