LUBBOCK, TX (October 8, 2023) – Saturday morning, John Connolly sustained injuries in a disastrous pedestrian crash on 4900 Interstate 27.

The incident happened at around 11:13 a.m. in the 4900 block of Interstate 27.

According to the Lubbock Police Department, a northbound SUV driven by Gabriel Guzman struck a pedestrian who was trying to retrieve a dog that jumped out of their vehicle.

Moreover, EMS rushed the 56-year-old victim to University Medical Center with serious injuries.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
