Hawthorne Man Dies in Early Morning Crash at 60 and 15 Freeways
RIVERSIDE, CA (February 8, 2020) – A man died following a car accident early Saturday morning in Riverside.
The crash happened around 12:20 a.m. on westbound 60 Freeway connector ramp to northbound 215 Freeway.
CHP officials did not provide details of how the crash occurred, but the driver died at the scene.
The Riverside County coroner’s office identified the deceased as 32-year-old John Cardozo of Hawthorne.
The vehicle was severely damaged and was towed away from the crash site.
It is unknown if speed, drugs and/or alcohol were contributing factors in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
