Driver Dies in Afternoon Rollover Crash at Powerline Road and Karen Drive

 
DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA (December 19, 2019) – A driver was killed when his vehicle overturned Thursday afternoon in Desert Hot Springs.
 
The fatal crash happened around 12:38 p.m. at the intersection of Powerline Road and Karen Avenue.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, an unknown vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed when it traveled to the right and off the roadway. It then overturned, ejecting the driver.
 
The driver suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt.
 
The Riverside County Coroner’s Office identified the man as Johan Trams, 62, of Desert Hot Springs.
 
An investigation into this crash is still ongoing.
