SCOTTSDALE, AZ (November 13, 2024) – Monday morning, Joey Slim died in a devastating pedestrian crash near Drinkwater Boulevard.

The incident happened at around 2:45 a.m. near Drinkwater Boulevard and Scottsdale Road.

Reports said that a vehicle struck a pedestrian who was attempting to cross the street.

Paramedics rushed the pedestrian, identified as 42-year-old Slim, to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and was not suspected of impairment or speeding.
