James Brummett Arrested After Intentionally Striking Joe Sauceda Jr at Oak Park
STOCKTON, CA (July 10, 2018) – A man was killed Tuesday evening after he was struck by a hit-and-run driver at Oak Park. He was later identified by family members as 34-year-old Joe Sauceda Jr.
According to the Stockton Police, they arrived at the scene near 600 East Alpine Avenue and found the victim pinned underneath a vehicle. Investigators believe that the driver responsible hit Sauceda on purpose before fleeing the scene on foot.
Unfortunately, the impact immediately killed Sauceda and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
On July 13, the police located the suspected hit-and-run driver, 49-year-old James Brummett, at a trailer park in Lathrop. He was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail on homicide charges. No other information has been disclosed to the public at this time.
