1 Dead in Austin Multi-Vehicle Accident on Interstate 35 Service Road

AUSTIN, TX (March 28, 2024) – Last March 17, a devastating 3-vehicle crash on Interstate 35 Service Road killed Joe Ildefonso Garcia.

The incident happened at around 1:57 p.m. in the 900 block of South I-35 southbound service road.

After the crash, the driver of one of the vehicles, 88-year-old Garcia, was transported to a local hospital where he was declared dead.

Meanwhile, the other involved parties in the crash declined transport to the hospital. Also, they all stayed on scene and were cooperative with the investigation.
