78-Year-Old Joanne Fay Killed after Car Crash in Napa
NAPA, CA (January 19, 2019) – On Saturday afternoon, 78-year-old Joanne Fay from Napa was killed in a two-vehicle collision.
According to police, the incident occurred around 3:15 PM near Claremont Way. As per reports, Fay suffered a medical problem while driving her SUV, veered into oncoming traffic and struck a car which flipped onto its roof.
First responders arrived at the scene, took over life-saving efforts, and transported Fay to Queen of the Valley Medical Center. Shortly after arrival, she was reported dead. The other driver was not injured in the crash.
The surrounding area was closed off for a brief time for cleanup and preliminary investigation, but has since reopened after six hours. No further details have been released regarding the circumstances leading up to the incident at this time.
