Jim Hayes Dies From Injuries in Shell Beach Motorcycle Accident on Highway 101
SHELL BEACH, CA (March 25, 2021) – On March 23, motorcyclist Jim Hayes, 62, suffered fatal injuries in a hit-and-run crash on Highway 101 and Avila Beach Drive.
The incident occurred just after 6:00 p.m. in the southbound lanes of Highway 101, south of Avila Beach Drive.
At this time, the authorities haven’t disclosed further details about the crash. However, the CHP confirmed that the hit-and-run vehicle struck and injured a motorcyclist in his 60s.
According to the family of the injured, he sustained leg and head injuries.
Meanwhile, the authorities urged anyone with information about the crash to call the San Luis Obispo area CHP office at (805) 594-8700.
Later reports by the family revealed Mr. Hayes did not survive the injuries he sustained in the accident.
Ultimately, it is unknown whether the incident was a hit and run crash.
