HWY 178 Accident Kills Female Pedestrian

Kern County, CA (December 24, 2022) – On December 16, Jillian Peterson, 38, of Weldon, lost her life in a Highway 178 pedestrian accident.

Reports say the victim was walking on the eastbound freeway when she was struck by a car that didn’t see her.

Unfortunately, Jillian Peterson died at 5:45 p.m. at the accident scene near Lake Isabella.

CHP is investigating the HWY 178 accident.
