Jefferson City Resident Jill Pittman Injured in Motorcycle Crash on Highway 50 [Cole County, MO]

Cole County, MO (October 6, 2024) – Jill Pittman, 45, of Jefferson City, was injured in a motorcycle crash on Highway 50 Friday night.

It was about 8:15 p.m. when the motorcycle crash happened west of Route D.

Responding officers said David Rapier, 60, also of Jefferson City, was riding a 1998 Honda Goldwing westbound on the freeway when the rear wheel on the motorcycle blew out.

Rapier lost control. He and his passenger, Pittman, were thrown from the motorcycle and sustained serious injuries.

Rapier was airlifted to University Hospital while Pittman was driven to the same hospital.
