Deadly DUI Collision
Nowadays, unexpected death could just happen at any time like the head-on crash on Larkin Street. Indeed, a person’s negligence can have devastating effects on other people.
In truth, the California Office of Traffic Safety’s “Go Safely” campaign wants to spread awareness to the public about the meaning of a DUI. DUIs do not only encompass alcohol. In fact, the use of any drug, whether it be marijuana, prescription, over the counter, illegal or illicit, can constitute a DUI. Drugs impair a driver’s ability to drive safely.
Thus, knowing that when a person dies or is killed due to another’s negligence or misconduct, the bereaved can sue the negligent parties for the damages that they caused.
Furthermore, some of the situations that could result in a wrongful death are homicide, medical malpractice, transportation accidents, pedestrian collisions, police brutality, and any other instance caused by the wrongdoing of another person.
Moreover, when the bereaved files for a wrongful death claim, economic and non-economic damages are taken into consideration. These can include high medical bills, loss of benefits, funeral services costs, emotional distress, loss of income, loss of companionship, and much more.
Enduring the unexpected can feel impossible to do alone. The silver lining is, you do not have to.
