One Victim Injured in DUI Hit-and-Run Collision near Foothill Boulevard

Deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga station arrived at the scene near Spruce Avenue and Foothill Boulevard around 9:54 PM, after a report of a hit-and-run collision in the area. The caller reported a description of the suspect’s vehicle and the direction he was headed after the crash.
A park ranger in the area also reported seeing the suspect vehicle in a parking lot and stated that it looked to be occupied by a Hispanic man. The victim, a pedestrian, sustained a laceration to his forehead. The identity of this individual has not yet been released to the public.
Deputies tried to stop the vehicle but the driver continued to flee. This initiated a pursuit with the deputies, as the suspect was swerving between lanes and running red lights with no regard for other motorists on the road.
