Deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga station arrived at the scene near Spruce Avenue and Foothill Boulevard around 9:54 PM, after a report of a hit-and-run collision in the area. The caller reported a description of the suspect’s vehicle and the direction he was headed after the crash.
A park ranger in the area also reported seeing the suspect vehicle in a parking lot and stated that it looked to be occupied by a Hispanic man. The victim, a pedestrian, sustained a laceration to his forehead. The identity of this individual has not yet been released to the public.
Deputies tried to stop the vehicle but the driver continued to flee.
