LAREDO, TX (October 30, 2024) – Sunday morning, Jesus Rodriguez was arrested in a startling pedestrian crash on 5000 Palo Alto Lane.

The incident happened in the 5000 block of Palo Alto Lane when a drunk driver struck a 20-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman.

Reports confirmed that both had been dragged by a vehicle and sustained several injuries.

“We know that Halloween is right around the corner. There are going to be various parties around the city. We want to remind the community — if you’re going to be drinking and driving, always look for alternative methods to get home safely. We want to prevent the increase of auto-pedestrian incidents and fatalities,” said Jose Espinoza of the Laredo Police Department.

Meanwhile, 20-year-old Rodriguez is being held in the Webb County Jail with a $100,000 bond.
