Jesus Pacheco Ceniceros Dies After Crash on West Southcross Boulevard in San Antonio

San Antonio, TX (July 26, 2024) – On Saturday, 21-year-old Jesus Pacheco Ceniceros died after a crash on West Southcross Boulevard and Huron Street.

Reportedly, a motorcyclist died after being involved in a three-vehicle crash with a San Antonio police vehicle and another car.

The collision occurred Friday near West Southcross Boulevard and Huron Street.

At approximately 5:30 p.m., an officer responded to a call about a vehicle on fire and headed eastbound on Southcross Boulevard.

Authorities reported that a northbound motorcyclist on Huron Street entered the Southcross Boulevard intersection as the traffic light turned yellow.

Upon entering the intersection, the motorcycle collided with the SAPD patrol car, causing the motorcyclist to be thrown from the motorcycle.

The SAPD patrol vehicle was redirected into the westbound lanes of Southcross Boulevard.

The SAPD vehicle then collided with another vehicle that had stopped at a red light on the westbound side of Southcross Boulevard.

All three individuals—the motorcyclist, the SAPD officer, and the driver of the third vehicle—were transported to a local hospital, according to police.

San Antonio police reported Saturday that the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the hospital overnight. The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the motorcyclist as 21-year-old Jesus Pacheco Ceniceros.

The officer and the driver of the third vehicle are expected to recover from their injuries.

The officer has been with the department for two years, according to SAPD.

The department continues to investigate the incident.
