Jesus Olivares Dead Following El Rio Motorcycle Crash on Vineyard Avenue and Simon Way
OXNARD, CA (February 7, 2021) – Saturday night, Jesus Olivares, 35, suffered fatal injuries in a motorcycle accident on Vineyard Avenue and Simon Way.
The crash between a motorcycle and a car happened at about 7:08 p.m.
The CHP and Ventura County Fire Department confirmed that it happened on Vineyard Avenue, north of Simon Way, near Carnegie Street.
Also, the authorities closed the lanes of Vineyard in both directions while crews worked at the scene.
Furthermore, when the firefighters arrived, they found a motorcyclist, who rode a 2015 Harley-Davidson, down in the road.
Meanwhile, a vehicle was in one of the lanes. Also, a person, in the Toyota Camry, was stuck in the vehicle.
The authorities said that both patients sustained major injuries.
By 7:30 p.m., an ambulance transported the motorcyclist to Ventura County Medical Center by ambulance. Meanwhile, responders managed to pull out the driver from the vehicle just after 7:30 p.m.
Later reports stated that the motorcyclist, Oxnard man Jesus Olivares, died from the injuries he sustained in the El Rio crash.
The current condition of the other driver is unknown.
