Jesus Gonzalez Sustains Injuries in Highway 12 Deadly Collision [Madera County, CA]

Madera County, CA (April 23, 2023) – On Friday, Jesus Gonzalez, 53, from Gilroy, and others, were injured in a Highway 12 deadly collision.

CHP received the collision report at about 9:15 p.m. in the area of Road 35. 

According to the authorities, Gonzalez was driving an eastbound 2017 Ford truck on Avenue 12. Gonzalez slowed, coming to almost a complete stop, as he was about to turn left turn on Road 35.

Suddenly, a 34-year-old Honda motorcyclist was eastbound approaching the truck. 

The rider failed to slow down and the left front of the motorcycle struck the right rear of the Ford truck. As a result, the rider was thrown from the motorcycle and sustained fatal injuries. 

Moreover, the paramedics rushed a 29-year-old Fresno woman who was a passenger in the Honda to Community Regional Medical Center with moderate injuries. 

Similarly, the medical team also rushed two Ford passengers, an 88-year-old woman and a 56-year-old woman from Gilroy,  to Saint Agnes Medical Center with minor injuries. 

In the meantime, the authorities are investigating. It is still unknown if drugs or alcohol were involved in the collision.
