Injuries Reported in Tucson Pedestrian Accident near S 12th Street and W Valencia Road

TUCSON, AZ (November 7, 2023) – Sunday night, the authorities arrested Jesus Enrique Camacho Cesena after a crippling pedestrian crash near S 12th Street.

The incident happened just after 10:00 p.m. near South 12th Avenue and West Valencia Road.

According to reports, officers received a report about a crash involving a pickup truck and an adult male pedestrian. After the crash, responders took the pedestrian to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Meanwhile, the pickup truck escaped the crash scene and the driver failed to wait for officers to respond.

During the investigation, the officers found the vehicle and its 18-year-old driver, Camacho Cesena.

Then, they developed probable cause to arrest Camacho Cesena for the felony charge of leaving the scene of a serious injury collision. Thus, officers booked him into the Pima County Jail.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
