4 Hurt in La Quinta Traffic Accident on Avenue 48 and Dune Palms Drive

 
LA QUINTA, CA (September 20, 2022) – Sunday, authorities arrested Daniel Jesus Barrera following a crash on Avenue 48 and Dune Palms Drive.
 
According to Riverside County sheriff’s Sgt. Mark Chlarson, the incident happened at around 4:49 p.m. Also, the collision occurred at the intersection of Avenue 48 and Dune Palms Drive.
 
Reports revealed that a speeding westbound Dodge Durango rear-ended a westbound Nissan Rouge. Then, the force of the crash pushed the Nissan to lose control and roll over.
 
Moreover, responders rushed four occupants of the Nissan to Desert Regional Medical Center with major injuries.
 
Furthermore, authorities arrested and booked the Dodge driver, 21-year-old Daniel Jesus Barrera, into John Benoit Detention Center for DUI.
 
Meanwhile, the incident remained under investigation.
