Jesus Avila Killed in Sperry Avenue 2-Vehicle Collision [Stanislaus County, CA]

Stanislaus County, CA (June 10, 2023) – On Friday, 28-year-old Jesus Avila of Newman lost his life following a Sperry Avenue 2-vehicle collision.

The fatal traffic accident took place at about 4:45 a.m. west of American Eagle Avenue in Patterson.

According to the investing officers, a BMW was westbound on Sperry Avenue while a Tesla was eastbound on Sperry Avenue. The sheriff’s office said that based on the initial investigation, the BMW hit a dip in the road and the driver lost control of the vehicle in the middle of the intersection. The BMW went airborne, struck a center median, and collided with the Tesla.

Jesus Avila, the BMW driver, died at the scene, while the Tesla driver sustained a minor scrape on their arm.

Meanwhile, officers said alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor in the Patterson fatal collision.
